Designed for use with water-mixable oil paints, Winsor & Newton’s Water Mixable Safflower Oil is ideal for slowing the drying time, increasing the gloss and transparency of your paint and "fattening" the colour, offering an excellent water-mixable alternative to linseed oil.
Made from the seeds extracted from a safflower plant, the pale colour of this medium preserves the luminosity of pigments, ideal when working with whites and light colours, and can be cleaned with soap and water, removing the need for harsh solvents.
Please note that this medium is not suitable for use under faster drying layers or mediums.
